Sentinel Care Join the pilot

A prototype is running in a real home right now

You do not have to be there all the time to know they are all right.

A sensor that lets you know when something is out of the ordinary. Your parent does not have to press, wear or learn anything.

A kitchen in morning light, a set mug on the table, nobody in the frame.

A flat where someone lives. You just do not know how they are doing.

You call for the third time today. Nobody picks up. She probably left the phone in the kitchen again.

After a fall, an emergency button is out of reach. Mum does not want a camera in the living room. A place in a care home means months of waiting. So most families have nothing.

What is not inside

  • Camera
  • Microphone
  • Button

Inside is a radar. It sees movement, not a person. No image or sound is ever created, because there is nothing to record it with.

The open sensor box from above: the control board and the wiring.
The whole inside. A radar module and a control board.
The sensor box plugged in, in a room.

One small box. Nothing more.

The size of a palm. It plugs into a socket and after that nobody notices it. Exactly as it should be.

It sends out a signal and measures what comes back. From the reflection it can tell that someone is moving in the room, and nothing more about them.

It knows their usual day

The grey band is the rhythm they are used to. If they slept an hour longer today, nobody tells you. If they have not moved since morning, you hear about it.

How it works

01
01

Plug it in

No electrician, no drilling, no changes to the flat. In the room where your parent spends the most time.

02

It learns their rhythm

During the first days it works out when they usually get up, when they move around the flat and when they rest.

03

It speaks up only when it should

It will not write that they slept an hour longer. It will write that they have not moved since morning.

The hands of two generations on a kitchen table, the younger and the older touching.

So they can stay at home for as long as possible.

Why not what already exists

SolutionWhere it fails
Emergency buttonYou have to reach it and press it. After a fall, often neither is possible.
CameraIt works, but most older people will not let one into their home.
SmartwatchIt works only when it is worn and charged. After a few weeks that stops happening.
Sentinel CareIt asks nothing of the senior. It stops working only when the power goes out.

It is not about watching. It is about peace of mind, on both sides.
